Due to health problems within my family including myself this work derives from a long- term engagement with the human body, its mal-functions and collateral mental issues.
Since the topic being serious and threatening at times, the analysis within the terms of art began to shift from depressing states and strong depictions to more symbolic style of expression alleviating the whole issue.
Combining digital 3-D models of inner organs from the web with scanned cut-outs from magazines, different kind of free associations are made possible. The background consisting of CTs from my check-up enhances the issue of the fragility of our body.
Each image describes a mental state during this period of endurance.
